Cretan Mill, member of Almpantakis Group of Companies, is a leading company in the field of olive oil, both nationally and internationally. Starting in 1866 as a family business, the olive mill of Almpantakis family set the foundations for a long tradition in the production and marketing of the Cretan extra virgin olive oil. Nowadays, it has become a fully vertical company in the field of olive oil that applies the production model from field to shelf.
Almpantakis Group of Companies owns three modern olive mills, luxurius central facilities with olive oil storage tanks including a total capacity of 5,000 tons, three olive oil receiving branches and two more olive receiving branches, as well as a pomace oil factory, which operates simultaneously with three pomace oil receiving stations. Moreover, the company owns an ultramodern bottling unit with high-tech machinery and a capacity reaching 25 tons of bottling per shift.
We have created our own team of producers, providing them consultation and support throughout the year, in order to achieve the best and most stable quality of olive oil. Having an active presence around the world, Cretan Mill has managed to penetrate 45 countries and 4 continents, with its exports occupying 60% of its total turnover. We always take into account the characteristics of each market, so that we can be competitive. In addition, we are present every year in all major international exhibitions in Greece and abroad, winning at the same time prestigious awards and distinctions.
Cretan Mill is certified with the ISO 22000, IFS and BRC quality management systems, complying with the standards of the European Union and the World Olive Oil Council. In our company, all the necessary controls are carried out by the competent bodies, while all the packaging for retail and foodservice is produced having as a priority the high quality of products and the safety of the employees of our company.
Our vision is to promote the Cretan diet and the interweaving of our products with the exceptional quality of the Greek products. In order to achieve this, we always act with respect to the quality, the Cretan tradition and the environment.
