Οι αρχικές σημαντικές πληροφορίες και βήματα για την εισαγωγή τροφίμων είναι τα εξής:
1) Register your company and facility with the FDA.
• Log on to: www.access.fda.gov
• Create a log in account
• Provide company information
• Identify a US agent that resides in the USA and provide their contact information
2) File a “Prior Notice” before the product enters the US.
Prior to your product entering the US, a “Prior Notice” must be filed each time to alert the FDA and Customs of the product being imported to the US.
This can be done on the FDA website:
• Go to fda.gov, log onto the account you created.
• Click on “Prior Notice”, fill out requested information and submit
3) Meet the FDA’s “Food Labeling Guide”
Every product that enters the US must be labeled appropriately.
